Eucaliptus sideroxylon

Perhaps Eucalyptus, from the Greek eu = = kalipto well and cover, referring to their flowers which are well protected until opened by the sepals and petals fused. Sideroxylon comes from the Greek Siderar, which means iron and XYLON, meaning wood, alluding to his hard wood.
